In Loving Memory

Our Calm, Gentle, Joyful Boy

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our sweet bulldog Bruisey. For 10 and a half beautiful years, he was our steady soul, calm, cool, loving, and endlessly patient. He wasn’t just a pet; he was family. A quiet sorce of comfort. A living reminder of how deeply dogs can touch our hearts without ever saying a word.

Bruisey was the definition of chill. Never in a rush, never looking for trouble, just happy to be exactly where he was, with the people who loved him. His presence brought peace, his soul was kindness, he had the way to bring comfort on the hardest days

He was more than a companion, he was a therapist in fur, an ambassador for everything dogs represent: loyalty, healing, joy, humor, and unconditional love. Everyone who met Bruisey felt that energy. He didn’t need to bark to be heard. He just needed to be there. I can't not mention those paws, massive, velvety-soft, and truly the best I’ve ever seen on any dog. Absolute legends.

Our hearts are broken without him, but they are also incredibly full, with memories, laughter, and gratitude. We feel so lucky to have shared life with him, to have been his people, and to know that his years on this earth were safe, joyful, and wrapped in love.

We miss you deeply, Bruisey. You were the best boy. Always. Thank you for choosing us. Thank you for being exactly who you were. We will carry you with us, always, through every rescue, every law we fight to change, and every animal we love.

Rest easy, sweet boy.

Your Pawrents.
